A well-maintained 31-foot Moekli steel-hulled cruising yacht is available for sale in South Africa. She features a masthead cutter rig, double spreaders, and an inner forestay. The boom is an in-boom furler.

History

As provided by her owner:

She was built in Cape Town and later transported to Knysna for fitting out by a German gentleman who owned a woodworking business, which explains the exceptional craftsmanship of the interior. The previous owner acquired the yacht from the estate and sailed her from Knysna to Cape Town, where she remained for the next eight years.

When I purchased the yacht, most of her components were practically new, and the engine had only four hours of runtime. I serviced all the deck gear and had the UV strips replaced on the sails, which were essentially new. (There is a small section on the mainsail where the guide rope stitching has come loose.)

The engine now has approximately 40 hours of use, with the majority accrued during a trip to RCYC and back for the installation of new standing rigging, a mast overhaul, and fresh bottom paint in November 2025. I invested R140,000 in the revamp, meaning all major maintenance have already been taken care of.

I originally purchased this yacht with the intention of sailing around the world, but unforeseen circumstances have led me to work abroad indefinitely. Rather than allowing her to deteriorate, I have made the difficult decision to sell.
